Daily Davos is Newsweek's special edition web site covering news and views related to the conference. It also includes articles on the global economy. The site contains a host of links to other business and international news sites. Newsweek International has published a special edition called Issues 2000 which looks closely at this year's World Economic Forum meeting. CNN also providesDavos coverage, albeit unsubstantial.

Europe
The Centre for the New Europe is pan-European think tank focusing Europe's future. Based in Brussels, it reflects and stimulates debate on economic, political, cultural, and moral issues.
The Russian Institute for the Economy in Transition explores theoretical and applied economics and economic development. It also makes recommendations on Russian economic policy.
The Frankfurter Institut seeks to critique the workings of market economy and is an advocate of more socially inclusive economic models.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation was set up to promote the political writings of Mr Naumann, who supported the notion of an emancipated citizenry. The foundation is committed to freedom of opinion and liberalism.
A think tank for Swedish enterprise, Timbro aims to advance the tenets of capitalism.

The Institute of Economic Affairs is an independent think tank which seeks to improve public understanding of the institutions of a free society. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of markets in solving economic and social problems.
The David Hume Institute encourages discourse on public policy in the empirical style of the philosopher. Based in Edinburgh, it primarily focuses on the interaction between law and market forces.
The Royal Institute of International Affairs is one of the world's foremost research organisations which works to advance the understanding of key international issues and activities.
The Social Market Foundation concerns itself with developing a social market approach to economics. It commissions original papers by independent experts on key economic and social topics, with a view to stimulating public discussion on economic and social issues. The site has a synopsis of its new policy agenda.

The Aspen Institute is dedicated to enhancing the quality of leadership through informed dialogue. It provides a forum for world leaders to gather and discuss a variety issue. The institute also has centres in Berlin, France, Italy and Japan.
The Fraser Institute is a Canadian think tank made up primarily of corporate members. It was founded in 1974 to highlight the role markets can play in providing economic and social well-being.
Libertad y Desarrollo (Freedom and Development), a Spanish language site, was set up by an independent Chilean study centre. It focuses on public issues and promotes the values and principles of a free society.
Ecuador's, El Instituto Ecuatoriano de Economía Política (The Ecuadorian Institute of Economic Policy) is another Spanish language site. The institute analyses the economic and social problems affecting Ecuador's population. It is a private and independent association.
The Atlas Economic Research Foundation helps to create independent public policy research organisations. With the goal of promoting free society, it provides advice, financial support and networking to intellectual entrepreneurs.
The Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace was set up under the auspices of Stanford University by Herbert Hoover in 1919. As a centre for advanced study, it seeks to support and safeguard the principle of democratic government. It has one of the world's largest private social and political science libraries.
Asia-Pacific
The Institute of Public Affairs, founded in 1943, is Australia's oldest private-sector think tank. It is of liberal leanings and promotes free markets and free-societies.
The Hong Kong Centre for Economics Research is an independent private research centre affiliated with the University of Hong Kong.
The Korea Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) strives to reform Korean law.
Industry
Pfizer Inc. is a global pharmaceutical company with interests in health care. The company hosts Pfizer Forum Europe, a program of public policy "advertorials" to encourage public discussion on European policy questions.
i2i Industry to Industry was launched at the World Economic Forum's 1999 Annual Meeting. It was established to give global businesses a new e-commerce model. The site porived a virtual marketplace manufacturers to promote their wares.
Think Tools is a knowledge software company. Set up in the 1980s, it was presented to the public at the World Economic Forum in 1997. WEF is a shareholder in Think Tools.
