We have a rotational workforce and so it is difficult to disseminate new IT information like software and processes because our IT team works during the daytime. How can I make sure that the night shift team have equal training to the daytime shift without employing an IT team for the night shift?

The best way to do this is to make as much of your IT training electronic. If the issue is sharing information on IT upgrades etc, then work with your IT department to publish clear user guides on your intranet, or distributed via e-mail. If face-to-face training is important you may want to examine the use of videotaped training sessions.
