Title: OECD Secretary-General

Age: 66

Education: McGill University and University of Grenoble.

Background information: Once a politician and lawyer in Canada, he spent 10 years in the Canadian parliament and moved onto becoming a legal counsel for Heenan Blaikie - which he was a founder in 1972. Johnston left politics partly because of his party's opposition to his support for the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the United States.
